Insurance benefits for ASIA members

ASIA members receive substantial benefits and discounts on insurances at If insurance company and Kaleva.

All members of ASIA are covered under the leisure time accident and traveller’s insurance policies provided by If P&C Insurance Company Ltd, included in the membership fee.

The insurance number is 201-2054942. Your ASIA mobile membership card also acts as an insurance card. We advise you to download your mobile membership card to your phone's home screen: https://app.memberplus.fi/. If you wish, you can also print your travel insurance certificate from If's website: www.omatsivut.if.fi.

Who is insured?

• The insured persons are members under the age of 68 of ASIA and its member associations, including student members, retired members, and employees who reside permanently in Finland for more than six months per calendar year, whose permanent domicile is in Finland, and who are covered by the Finnish Health Insurance Act.
• Membership is determined according to the rules of the union. Upon request, the union will confirm that the claimant was covered by this insurance at the time of the incident.
• Insurance coverage is tied to union membership. If a member resigns or the membership is terminated, the insurance coverage ends immediately.
• When the insured person turns 68, the insurance remains valid until the end of the current calendar year.

Report a Claim: Omat sivut (If Online Service)

Log in with your online banking credentials to If Omat sivut at: if.fi/omatsivut (page is in Finnish)

• At the top of the page, select Omat vahingot (My Claims). On this page, you’ll find all documents related to your claims.
• Select the claim form you wish to complete. For example, if you're reporting an accident, select Minä ja perheenjäseneni (Me and My Family Members) and then the form titled Tapaturma: Ilmoita uudesta vahingosta tai täydennä kuluja aikaisemmin ilmoittamaasi vahinkoon. (Accident: Report a new claim or add expenses to a previously reported claim.)
• Fill in the form and click Lähetä (Submit).

You can also report a claim online or by phone at 010 19 19 19 (Mon–Fri 9 AM–4 PM).

New insurance benefits

If offers the first two months free for new home insurance and criticial illness coverage. The offer is valid when you submit your contact details via the form on If insurance website. An If insurance company expert will get in touch with you to provide more information about these insurance products. Submitting your contact information does not obligate you in any way. Additional cover for adults and children with accident insurance

You can also supplement your insurance cover with accident insurance granted by Kaleva. The spouse of a member is also covered by the insurance benefit. Children’s accident insurance is low-cost insurance for your child. It is valid 24/7 for those under 25 and also covers accidents that take place in competitive sports until the age of 18. The insurance amounts are specific to each insurance policy.

Financial security through life insurance from Kaleva

ASIA members who have utilised Kaleva's life insurance benefit have saved an average of EUR 733 per year.

As a ASIA member, you and your spouse are entitled to take out life insurance granted by Kaleva Insurance Company at a 61.6% discount negotiated for you. Members who have already taken advantage of this benefit save an average of 733 euros per year on the cost of their life insurance.

You can choose personal insurance for yourself and your spouse or even more affordable joint cover. Only one of you needs to be a member of ASIA.

For example, for a 30-year-old, coverage with a compensation amount of €100,000 costs only €6.10 per month — compared to €14.70/month without ASIA membership.
